Materials:
- DecoArt Products Required
- Americana Gloss Enamels
- DAG01 - White
- DAG04 - Sand
- DAG67 - Black
- DAG234 - Calypso Blue
- DAG276 - Razzle Berry
- 4" x 6" x 3" rectangle vase
- Feathers in orange, yellow, pink
- #10/0 liner brush
- #6 round brush
- Jewelry elastic
- Flat wash brush
- Water container
- Palette or plastic plate
- Paper towels
- Alcohol
- Small round pouncer
- Modeling clay
- Black craft foam
- Acrylic jewels
- Orange pipe cleaner
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Steps:
Note: Let dry between steps.
Preparation: Clean glass with alcohol. Dry well with paper towel or soft cloth.
- Use flat brush and Sand to paint entire vase.
- Use #6 round brush and White to paint eyes.
- Use #6 round brush and Razzle Berry to paint lips.
- Use #6 round brush and Calypso Blue to paint iris of eye. Use #6 round brush and Black to paint pupil of eye.
- Use liner brush and Black to outline lips, eyes, eyelashes, and brows.
- Use tip of liner brush and White to add dot to each eye.
- Use pouncer and Razzle Berry to add cheek blush.
- Place in cool oven. Bake on 325 degrees for 30 minutes. Open oven door slightly and let vase completely cool before removing.
- Use modeling clay to form nose and ears. Bake according to directions. Cool before removing from oven.
- Use flat brush and Sand to paint nose and ears. Float with Razzle Berry for shading.
- Hot glue nose and ears into position.
- Glue orange feathers around entire sides and back for hair.
- Cut mask out of black foam.
- Glue acrylic jewels around entire outer edges of mask and above eye cutouts.
- Glue pink feathers to outer tips of mask. Glue yellow feathers onto center of mask.
- Cut jewelry elastic to fit vase. Hot glue edges to back of mask.
- Hot glue orange pipe cleaner to top edge of vase.
Helpful Tip:
If children are making this, an adult will need to cut out shapes and do gluing.
