Spring Bling Necklace

Materials:

  • Ice resin
  • Sparkling taupe bonbon
  • Gold bonbon
  • Bronze bonbon
  • Tulip- green glitter
  • Antique bronze teardrop bezel
  • Crochet hook
  • Two gold finish barrel beads
  • Eight gold tone eyepins
  • Four gold rimmed acrylic beads
  • Two 8mm rhinestone balls gold
  • Eight gold tone jump rings
  • Gold tone lobster clasp
  • Round nose pliers
  • Chain nose pliers
  • Scissors

Instructions:

  1. Mix equal quantities of Part A and Part B of ice resin and stir until the striations disappear. Rest for five minutes. Using an old brush apply a thin layer of mixed resin inside the teardrop bezel and drizzle a thin layer green glitter on it.
     
  2. Fill up 3/4th of the bezel with resin and slowly drizzle glitter on top. Let is rest for a few minutes before adding some more resin to cover the glitter completely. This creates a druzy effecy. Let the resin cure completely for 24 hours.
     
  3. Take 5 meters yarn in each of three bonbons and fold them in half. Insert the cured resin pendant from one side. Using a crochet hook starting crochet a chain from the other direction and in process loop the pendant into the chain at the center.
     
  4. Knot the ends. Open an eyepin loop and insert at the end through the knot on one side. Close the loop. Insert the barrel bead and do a simple loop with pliers, adding another eyepin before closing, Add an acrylic bead, loop. Repeat with the rhinestone ball followed by another acrylic bead.
     
  5. Finish by adding three interlinked jumprings. Repeat the same process on the other side.
     
  6. Using the remaining two jumprings connect the clasp to complete the necklace.
