Make a fun flower pot for Mother's Day. Personalize it with some fun sayings she will just love reading. Crafty Chica, Kathy Cano-Murillo and I Love to Create presents this fun and funky project.

Materials:

  • Crafty Chica® Little Chica Paint Packs™
  • Crafty Chica® Chunky Glitters™
    • 25694 Glamour Queen Green
    • 25696 Goddess Gold
  • Aleene's® Original Tacky Glue®
  • Crafty Chica® Glossy Gloss Varnish™
  • Terra cotta pots and saucers
  • Scissors
  •  Paintbrushes

 

Instructions:

Let It Grow

  1. Paint base of pot green, paint rim red. Let dry.
     
  2. Cut out letters from sticky stencil, adhere to side of pot, making words "Let It Grow".
     
  3. Paint white inside stencil. Let dry. Peel off stencil, outline letters with black. Add polka dots of color within letters with handle of paint brush dipped in paint.
     
  4. Add details along rim. We painted stars, swirls and added more dots.
     
  5. Seal pot with varnish.

You are my Sunshine

  1. Paint base of pot purple, paint rim black, top of rim green. Let dry.
     
  2. Cut out letters from sticky stencil, adhere to side of pot, making words "you are my sunshine".
     
  3. Paint yellow inside stencil design area. Let dry. Dab on glue over yellow letters. Shake on gold glitter. Shake off glitter over scrap paper. Return excess to glitter bottle.
     
  4. Peel off stencil.
     
  5. Add dots of red along rim, outline with yellow dots. Let dry.
     
  6. Seal pot with varnish.

Mint

  1. Cut out letters from sticky stencil, adhere to side of pot, making words "mint".
     
  2. Dab on glue in stencil areas. Shake on green glitter. Shake off glitter over scrap paper. Return excess to glitter bottle. Let dry.
     
  3. Peel off stencil.
