Floral Mother's Day Frame

If you have the electronic cutter with the schoolbook accent cartridge then this is a great craft for you. Make a Mother's Day frame using these tools. Cardstock and paint also help make this frame a great gift.

Materials:

• Cricut Expression® Personal Electronic Cutter with Plantin SchoolBook and Accent Essentials® cartridges [290300]
• Cricut® Mother’s Day cartridge [2000101]
• Yudu® Personal Screen Printer [625000]
• Yudu® Emulsion Sheets [625031]
• Yudu® Ink, Pastel Set, Sky [625006]
• 8 ½" x 10 ½" frame
• Cardstock: black
• Paint: cream
• Paintbrush

Steps:

1. Paint frame cream. Let dry.
    
2. Cut flower. Using Cricut Expression machine, Mother’s Day cartridge, and black cardstock, cut one 9 ¾" <Flwr1>.
    
3. Prepare one sheet of emulsion and screen as directed in Yudu user manual.
    
4. Burn design as directed. Rinse out design area as directed. Let screen dry.
    
5. Lay frame on platen, lining it up with the design as desired.
    
6. Put screen on Yudu machine once screen is dry. Place a generous bead of sky ink at the top of the design.
    
7. Flood design. Pull design once before lifting lid. Reposition frame and re-pull as desired. Clean screen. Let design dry.
