Holiday Boa Pillow

Materials:

• Bernat® Boa Holidays (100 g/3.5 oz; 118 m/129 yds) or (300 g/10.5 oz; 334 m/376 yds)
• Striped Version
  • Contrast A (46706 or 57706 Santa's Suit) 1(1) ball
  • Contrast B (46708 or 57708 Holly Green) 1(1) ball
• 2-Color Version
  • Contrast A (46706 or 57706 Santa's Suit) 1(1) ball
  • Contrast B (46707 or 57707 Fa La La) 1(1) ball
• Size 5.5 mm (U.S. 9) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge. 16 ins [40.5 cm] square pillow form.

GAUGE: 14 sts and 17 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in stocking st.

Instructions: 

Striped Version
With A, cast on 79 sts.
Proceed in stocking st as follows: With A, work 4 rows. With B, work 2 rows. With A, work 6 rows. With B, work 2 rows. With A, work 2 rows. With B, work 4 rows. With A, work 2 rows. With B, work 6 rows.
Rep these 28 rows for Stripe Pat until work from beg measures 22½ ins [57 cm], ending with a purl row. Cast off.

2-Color Version
With A, cast on 79 sts.
Proceed in stocking st until work from beg measures 11¼ ins [28.5 cm], ending with a purl row. Change to B and cont in stocking st until work from beg measures 22½ ins [57 cm], ending with a purl row. Cast off.

Both Versions: Fold pillow as shown on Diagram. Sew 2 sides. Insert pillow form. Sew rem 2 sides closed.
