I was reading the pattern for "Easy knit slippers" and found it very confusing. I read that twice you need to have 10 stitches left. I read that you decrease until you have only 10 stitches left in row 30 and then in row 31 the pattern says to decrease until you have 10 stitches left. I absolutely don't understand. I was looking forward to knitting those for next winter (yes, I'm a slow knitter : ) and I like these because there isn't any heel turning. So..........Heeeeeeeeeelp please

I started "Grandma's Knitted Slippers" but wonder if there is perhaps an error in the pattern - there is no decreasing at all in the toe area. Is that correct - at the end you pull the end through the same amount of stitches as you started with? Seems like a lot .....

In the photo accompanying the pattern for Grandma's Knitted Slippers, I notice that the brown pair seems to have a checkered insole, while the pink pair does not seem to have an insole. Is something placed inside the brown pair after completing the slippers?
