this is the link to a proper pattern for this hat: http://knitqwik.blogspot.com/2010/06/cool-cable-chapeau.html

Found this at aStitch Nation by Debbie Stoller and no mistakes in the pattern. Making the hat now and looks cute.

The numberings on these rounds confuse me greatly: Rounds 34-38: [P3, k8] 10 times. wouldn't this include rounds 34, 35, 36, 37 and 38? Round 35: [P2tog, p1, k8] 10 times 100 sts. but then you say this is round 35? isn't this included above? Rounds 36-40:[P2, k8] 10 times. 36-38 aren't included in the 34-38 directions above? Please help! Thanks!!

Help! I don't understand the bind off....usually there are far less stitches than 90 to close up with a needle. Is this right? Or is there a different technique that I should be using. I'd appreciate any help on this.

Is any one else having trouble with the brim? My cables turned out just fine, but I had to decrease the band more than the instructions to make it fit my head. The bottom of the band is uneven which make the finishing look messy and my brim just looks stupid! I've tried following this pattern exactly 3 or 4 times. Anyone have any tips for me? Am I missing something?
