Mary Maxim catalogs have the kits for towel toppers for crochet and knitting . Once you by a kit you now have the pattern.

Would like very much to have these instructions in a crochet..I don't knit. These are so handy in the kitchen..If anyone has the instructions in crochet please , post them..Thanks

can't wait to try this I have wondered how to do these for a while now I can get started. Thanks

Made these towel toppers years ago. Sewed a blanket stitch to top of towel and crocheted (knitted) the topper attached to the blanket stitch shaping it as you worked ending with the narrow flap that gets buttoned down. Much easier to work this way than to try to squeeze the towel to fit topper. May also use hand towel cut in half and hemmed. Makes 2 identical towels. Hope some of you stitchers find this helpful.

does anyone have this pattern for crochet? (the kitchen towel hangers)

When I cast on into fabric, I use a crochete hook and pull the loops thru onto the knitting needle. Hope that helps. I'll have to try this.

I love these done in crochet, since I don't knit. I haven't seen any crocheted instructions but have some in Red Heart booklets.

I'm very interested in this. Do you sew with a needle and thread or do you some how crochet it on? I've seen it where they have poked holes into the towel and then stitched into the poked holes. Which is the proper way? Thanks Bev

Does the blue and white topper wrap around the towel? My topper is pretty wide.

I am looking for a crochet kitchen towel hangers

joallen--unlike a crocheted topper, this one you have to sew onto the towel when done. Check the last sentence above reader comments--"trim tea towel, pleat top edge to fit and sew to wrong side of towel topper." hope that helps.

I have been wanting this pattern for ages, but it doesn't tell you how to get the stitches cast onto the towel in the first place. How do you do that?
