Easy Knit Dishcloth

Add a little extra flair to your kitchen using this free pattern for a knit discloth.  This quick and easy to make dishcloth is both practical and decorative, and will save you money on paper towels.

Measurements:
Approx 10" [25.5 cm] square.

Materials:

  • Bernat® Handicrafter Cotton Naturals or your choice. 
    • (340 g / 12 oz): 1 ball.
    • OR (42.5 g / 1.5 oz): 2 balls.
  • Size 5.5 mm (U.S. 9) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge:

16 sts and 30 rows = 4" [10 cm] in garter st.

Pattern:

Cast on 3 sts.
1st row: (RS). Knit.
2nd row: K1. Inc 1 st in next st. Knit to end of row.
Rep last row to 53 sts.
Next row: K2. K2tog. Knit to end of row.
Rep last row to 3 sts. Cast off.
