This simple crochet pattern dishcloth from Bernat Yarns is nice to display when company comes over. Your hand-made work is a great conversation piece. Let your friends know how much you enjoyed it, so they can make their own. For the whole set, make the yellow tulip dishcloth and the white feathered dishcloth!

Yes, Ss is slip stitch, but I nearly always see it abreviated as Sl st

For hbacingmama: I think ss is abbreviation for slip stitch. The stitch that some use around edge, because it doesn't affect the appearance. Also used in joining circles or new color, I believe.

I think Ss means single crochet stitch.

I would like to make one of these dishcloths, but do not understand all of the directions. What does Ss mean at the start of Rnd 1?please advise. Thanks

I love this pattern. I am going to make a few this week. Thanks for all the great patterns.
