Dress your pooch in style with this collar made from Swarovski beads and memory wire.

Materials:

  • Ten 14mm Crystal AB Swarovski Disco Ball Beads
  • Six 8mm Crystal AB Swarovski Disco Ball Beads
  • Six Metal Butterfly Beads
  • Six Pre-Cut 6” Lengths
  • 6mm Rubber Tubing
  • Six Pre-Cut 7” Lengths Remembrance Memory Wire
  • One 4ft. Heavy Chain Dog Leash (68 Linked Chain Used In Project)
  • Ten SP Head Pins Tools
  • Beadstorm™ Round Nose Pliers
  • Beadstorm™ Chain Nose Pliers
  • Designer Flush Cutters
  • Memory Wire Shears

Steps:

  1. Pre-cut six 6” lengths of rubber tubing with flush cutters. Pre-cut six 7” lengths of memory wire with Memory Wire Shears.

  2. Slide memory wire lengths into tubes creating a loop at the top of the wire with your round nose pliers. Bend the memory wire up and over itself, this takes effort.

  3. Place larger crystal bead followed by smaller crystal bead on opposite end of memory wire. Bend a small loop in the memory wire with round nose pliers as before.

  4. Create loop top head pins for each butterfly, slide each one on to the beaded end of each tube length.

  5. Attach these to the large round jump ring at the top of the leash under the handle using pliers to secure them on large jump rings. There should be three dangles on each side of the leash chain.

  6. Moving down the leash every 17 links, attach a large crystal on a wrapped loop head pin with a large jump ring using pliers.

  7. Attach final dangle to final chain link at top of lanyard.

  8. Check back through the design to ensure that all links are properly closed.
