Pink Charm Bracelet

By: Fernando DaSilva for Beadalon

Create this funky charm bracelet from crystal beads and craft wire.

Materials:

  • 6 in. length - 1.5mm Double ball chain, silver plated
  • 24 gauge Silver ColourCraft® wire
  • 10 - Peach faceted glass rondelles
  • 9 - 4mm Swarovski fuchsia crystal bicone faceted beads
  • 31 - 2mm Swarovski fuchsia crystal bicone faceted beads
  • 11 - Open circle tags, silver plated
  • 9 - Closed heart charms, silver plated
  • 11 - Ball/star head pins, silver plated
  • 1 - 15.3mm Medium lobster clasp, silver plated
  • Designer flush cutter
  • Designer Ergo round nose pliers
  • Designer Ergo chain nose pliers

Steps:

  1. Begin by threading one 2mm fuchsia bead onto one ball/star head pin. Make a half loop and string 1 open circle tag through the big hole. Finish by wrapping it twice. Trim excess wire. Make eight more of these dangles and set aside.

  2. Using silver ColourCraft wire make a half loop and insert through the small hole of one of the open circle tag dangles. Wrap it twice. String on one 4mm fuchsia bead. Make a half loop and slide it trough the second link on the double ball chain. Leave five empty links before attaching another open circle tag dangle. Start on either end, just make sure to keep two empty links between the dangles – the open circle tag dangles alternate with closed heart charm dangles.

  3. Repeat step 2 until all nine open circle tag dangles have been attached to the chain.

  4. Make eight dangles. Use 1 closed heart charm, 2 4mm fuchsia beads and 1 peach roundel. Using silver ColourCraft, make a half loop and slide the heart charm onto it. Finish by wrapping it twice. Trim the excess wire. Slide on one fuchsia bead, one peach roundel and one fuchsia bead. Make a half loop and attach it to the chain. The closed heart charm dangles should be placed between the previously attached open circle tag dangles.

  5. Using the wrapping technique described above, make two more dangles. Make one dangle using one open circle and one fuchsia bead. Attach it to the end of the chain using a jump ring. Make a second dangle with one ball star head pin and a small fuchsia bead. Wrap it twice and trim excess wire. Slide onto a jump ring and add the last silver heart charm to the other end of the chain.

  6. Using silver ColourCraft wire, make a half loop and slide through the sided end of the chain. Wrap twice; trim excess wire. Slide on one peach rondelle and one 2mm fuchsia bead. Make a half loop and slide through the ring of the lobster clasp. Wrap twice; trim excess wire. Repeat, using the same bead combination, and add to the last open circle tag, which will act as the closing ring for the lobster clasp.
