Chic Steampunk Brooch



Do you love steampunk crafts? If the answer is yes, then you will love this Chic Steampunk Brooch from Samatha Star. If you've never heard of steampunk, fear not! This is a great jewelry craft for everyone.

Chic Steampunk Brooch


  • Thin aluminum
  • Scissors capable of cutting through the aluminum
  • Pencil
  • Hot glue
  • Rhinestone
  • Alcohol ink
  • Alcohol ink applicator
  • Metal findings (old watch parts)


  1. Trace a flower onto thin aluminum.

  2. Cut around pattern with scissors.

  3. Cut out a teardrop shape to use as a leaf.

  4. Apply alcohol ink to the applicator and ink your flower and leaf.

  5. Using pliers, roll up the edges of the flower. This will reveal the backside of the metal which is not inked. Ink if desired.

  6. Apply hot glue to the leaf and glue it onto the flower. Use your pliers to roll up the edge of the leaf.

  7. Glue a rhinestone to the center of the flower with hot glue. Apply hot glue to the leaf and glue on metal findings.
