Small projects can add up to big changes in your home décor. You can double your decorative options by creating a reversible table runner. This sewing project from Baby Lock is for beginner level.

Materials:
- Baby Lock Design Pro, Denim Pro, or Creative Pro Sewing Machine
- All-purpose thread
- Iron and Ironing board
- Hand sewing needle
- Five different decorator print fabrics
Cutting Instructions:
Fabric 1
Cut piece A - One 16” x 12”
Fabric 2
Cut B pieces Two 4” x 12”
Fabric 3
Cut C pieces Two 4” x 12”
Fabric 4
Cut D & F pieces Two 6” x 12” & Two 9” x 12”
Fabric 5
Cut D & F pieces Two 6” x 12”
Cut piece G - One 54” x 12”
Cut H pieces - Two 10” x 12” (Cut with print going in the opposite direction as piece G)
Front:
Instructions:
- Thread the machine with all-purpose thread.
- Using a ¼” seam allowance, match right sides together and sew one “B” piece to each sides of the “A” piece. See diagram below.
- Press the seams away from the center piece (A).
- Continue sewing the pieces together in order. Remember to press each seam.

- To make a reversible table runner, follow the instructions for creating the back piece.

Back:
- Thread the machine with all-purpose thread.
- Using a ¼” seam allowance, match right sides together and sew one “H” piece to each sides of the “G” piece. See diagram below.

- Press the seams away from the center piece (G).
- Layer the runner pieces with right sides together. Using a ¼” seam stitch around the edges leaving an opening on one side.

- Clip the excess fabric off at the corners being careful not to cut the stitching.
- Turn the runner right side out. Fold the raw edge in and whipstitch the edge to close.
- Press.
