Now Sew Pillow Pattern Instructions

  1. Lay down two yellow felt sheets so that they are lined up. Then, taking an inanimate object in the shape of a circle, trace around that with your sharpie.

  2. Cut out your two circles, and if you are keeping them stacked on top of each other while cutting make sure to keep them perfectly aligned the entire time.

  3. Apply a ring of glue around the edge of one of the felt circles, leaving four or five inches unglued, so you can stuff your pillow.

  4. Place the second felt sheet on top and press the sides lightly, and set aside to dry.

  5. While the pillow is drying take your other felt sheets, and trace and cut out the emoji faces you want on your pillow.

Tip: You can refer to the pillow to help with cutting the features proportionally.

  6. Take your cut out emoji face and glue them onto your pillow base, press firmly and allow to dry.

  7. Now stuff your pillow and fold the opening under and glue shut.

Be sure that between each gluing session you are giving your project plenty of time to dry to keep it from becoming mishapen.

What kid does not like Emojis so this pillow is a great idea and they are so expensive when you can make one for hardly nothing. This is a great project for a group of kids for a summer or even a weekend project since felt is so cheap and see what they come up with. So super easy and fast. If you want to not wait for them to dry then do the glue step(or sew them) before the kids get there and let them decorate the faces. Great simple and fun.

Sometimes you have to see something made to make the next step in something that you want to do. I saw this pattern and immediately thought I could crochet this! Just seeing the pattern helped me know that I wanted and could make this. I already crochet in the round so it would be a matter of adding the face and closing up the circle! Wonderful! #NationalCraftMonth2017

Made one for my son. Too cute! #NationalCraftMonth2017

So cute, I have some nieces and nephews that would just love all the emoji in pillows! #NationalCraftMonth2017

So adorable for all ages that use the internet and emojis. My teenaged granddaughter will really love it.

T are so cute and easy, I think I'll make a lot of the pillows and just cut out face pieces, The next time the family gets together, they can decorate their own pillows and have a gift to take home.
