If you've got a taste for something country and you've been browsing through our sewing crafts and patterns, check out this Country Apple Garland from Spellbinders.  With simple sewing and plenty of country charm, this garland is sure to brighten up your mantelpiece.

Materials:

  • S3-147 Labels Trio
  • S4-267 Nested Apples
  • Cotton Stuffing
  • Fancy Pants Red Buttons
  • Fancy Pants Green Buttons
  • Hero Arts Raindrop, Modern Lines, and Four Leaf Grid Design Block Stamps
  • Taylored Expressions Sweetly Stamped Sentiments Stamp
  • Muslin Fabric

Instructions:

  1. Using thin muslin, cut out several apple shapes from S4-267 Nested Apples and stamp each apple with a different background. (Make sure that you stamp the “reverse” side of one apple, so that they match up when it comes time to stitch).

  2. Stuff apples with cotton.

  3. Stitch the apples together with straight and crossed stitches.

  4. Poke holes in each side to allow the ribbon to be tied through.

  5. Add the buttons with twine.

  6. On one apple, add an S3-147 Labels Trio die cut with a sentiment attached to it.
