7 Free Sewing Patterns for Machine Covers

A cover is necessary to keep the dust out of your sewing machine, and keep it running smoothly. The covers that come with most sewing machines are not the most visually-pleasing, so make your own with fabric to match your décor. These are the best free sewing patterns for creating your own cover.

You can also find the Husqvarna on Tipnut.com which I found via a search of free sewing machine covers. :-)

for those of you looking for the Husqvarna pdf. I found it here http://www.findthatfile.com/search-46630522-hPDF/download-documents-sewingmaco.pdf.htm Though all of these look really nice. Now I have to decide which one I am going to use.

They are all really nice and I will start making them for my 2 sewing machines and probably make one for my serger machine.

I was looking at all the sewing machine covers and noticed a shoe rack made of cloth on a door in one of the pictures. I was wondering if it was store bought or would there be a pattern on here for it? That would work Great in my sewing room. Besides, my machine NEVER gets the chance to get dusty or mch time to be covered in the first place. LOL Dyan

I made a sewing machine cover some time ago and sewed a mesh zippered makeup bag to one side and a big pocket to the other, it is also reversible and has a split top for my handle,i think these are some great ideas and with a little imagination anyone can make one to suit their needs...

Well I can easily see that each is an original and they are all beautiful. Awesome idea.

I agree these are very simple and straight forward covers. Nothing to them the one I made also left a slit at the top so I could use the handle to transport the machine with cover. I also added a pocket on the side to hold the cord and foot pedal in so everything stayed together. My is a much more practical cover for my machine.

I disagree that these are ordinary. If one wanted to get really fancy they could crochet one in single or half double crochet & put a crocheted flower, etc. on the front, or even put their name across it.

Still Learning

Nice covers; rather ordinary. Good jumping off point for creating my own. I had never considered making my own. When I come up with a design and make it, can I send my photo ? Thanks ! Maria
