Dorthy would be proud of this Over the Rainbow Card. Easy to make, this homemade card is decorated with a bright, glittery rainbow. This adorable card is a great way to add some sparkle to someone's day.

Over the Rainbow Card

Materials:

  • JustRite's Myriad Pro Font Stamp Set
  • Ink - Pure Poppy (Papertrey Ink)
  • Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Ovals Die Template
  • Card stock
  • Tray
  • Glitter
  • Crystal lacquer

Instructions:

  1. I used 50 pt to stamp the word, Smile on my clouds with Pure Poppy ink.

  2. I added Crystal Effects to the clouds and sprinkled translucent Martha Stewart glitter on them.

  3. The card base uses a scalloped Spellbinder's die. I cut a circle at 3 3/4 and embossed it with the Swiss Dots folder.

  4. I then cut 6 circles out of red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple card stock. I have listed the sizes I used.

  5. Stack your circles leaving just a bit peeking at the top of each color.

  6. Cut the bottom off of your circle stack.

  7. Use a 2 3/8 Spellbinder's circle and some low tack artist's tape to hold the die in place. You might have to run it through a couple of times because your stack is thick. You may even have to finish the job with scissors!

  8. This is what it looks like when you cut the bottom of your rainbow.

  9. Apply a thin coat of the Crystal lacquer over the entire rainbow with your finger. Then sprinkle glitter over it.

  10. Shake off the excess glitter and you have a pretty, glittery, rainbow!
