Faux Stitched Thank You Card

Add some crafty flair and detail to your handmade cards with these card making techniques. Faux stitching is a great way to finish your cards. Make these quick thank you cards to have on hand whenever you need them.

Faux Stitched Thank You Card

Materials:

  • Cardstock: Bazzill
  • Patterned paper: LilyBee designs
  • Stamps: Lawn Fawn
  • Ink: Tsukineko Memento black
  • Pearls: Mark Richards
  • Pen: Signo Uniball

Instructions:

  1. Make you card from cardstock.
     
  2. Trim a piece of patterned paper down to 2”x5-½”.
     
  3. Cut a piece of vellum to 1-½”x5-½’. Adhere to the patterned paper.
     
  4. Adhere to the bottom of the card.
     
  5. Line your stamps up and stamp the words Thank You in black ink.
     
  6. Add your faux stitching in white along the scalloped vellum and the top of the card.
     
  7. To finish the card add a few pearl gemstones to the top and bottom of the card.
