Metallic Journal

Is your journal cover a little too boring?  Liven it up with this Metallic Journal tutorial from Terri O.!  Make your own journal cover and soon you'll be covering albums, books, and more! 

Metallic Journal

Materials:

  • Metal sheets from Lefranc & Bourgeois
  • Scissors
  • Plain, inexpensive journal
  • Embossing tools
     

Instructions:

  1. Cut metal sheet so that it is 1/4 to 1/2 inch larger than journal. Place over journal and close to make sure it overlaps when closed.
     
  2. Place pattern of your choice on metal and emboss.
     
  3. Fold metal over journal cover and wrap like a present. Use your tools to press metal down firmly to keep it in place.
