Steps:

  1. Pre-wash and dry shirt according to label instructions.

  2. Trace and transfer bat pattern* onto compressed sponge. Moisten sponge with water. Squeeze sponge in paper towels to remove excess moisture.

  3. Pin or tape shirt over shirt board.

  4. Squeeze generous amounts of Lamp Black and Lavender onto palette or plastic plate.

  5. Dip bat sponge into each color randomly until covered.

  6. Position onto shirt, press and remove. Repeat as desired, changing directions and positions for more interest.

  7. Use liner brush to make Lilac dash lines. Let dry.

  8. Use fabric glue to apply amber jewel eyes.

Transferring a Pattern
Lay tracing paper over pattern and draw the basic lines. Lay this tracing on the surface to be painted. Slip transfer paper between the tracing and the surface and secure. Trace with a pencil or stylus to transfer the design.
