October Pumpkin Card with How to Video

Terri has produced a video to show us how to create a paper pumpkin out of punches and paper.  This technique can be used to complete this card or use the idea to add an embellishment to your scrapbook pages.

October Pumpkin Card

  • Cardstock: Brown, white, Orange, green
  • Stamp: Stampotique.com “Months”, October
  • Ink: Memories Mists: “Pale Ale”, Memories Chalk Ink: “Creamy Coffee”, Palette: “Organgerie” all by Stewart Superior
  • Punches: 2 /12” Oval, 1 ½” Circle, Grape Leaf Punch, Small Rectangle Punch,
  • Wire: Green 26 gauge
  • Adhesive, Trimmer, Glue Dots

  1. Punch out three ovals and three circles from orange cardstock. Ink all edges of Oval and Circles using Memories Chalk Ink “Creamy coffee”. Adhere two ovals behind front oval to make a pumpkin shape (see sample and video for more help). Do the same with the circles – you have created two pumpkins.
  2. Cut brown cardstock to 8 ½” x 5 ½” – score at 4 ¼” to make card base.
  3. Cut White cardstock to 5” x 4”. Spray white cardstock with Memories Mists “Pale Ale” after Memories Mists dry ink all edges with Memories Chalk Ink “Creamy Coffee”. Stamp “October” from Stampotique Originals Month stamps using Palette “Organgerie: Hybrid Ink.
  4. Punch out two “grape Leaf” punches from green cardstock and ink all the edges using Memories Chalk Ink “Creamy Coffee”. Punch out two rectangles from brown cardstock to use as the stem of the pumpkin. Adhere Stem and Leaves to back of pumpkins.
  5. Using a tooth pick to whined green wire around to make the embellishment for your pumpkin. Adhere wire to back of pumpkin using glue dots.
  6. Adhere your pumpkin to cream cardstock and adhere that to card base. You have another complete card.
