How to Make a Halloween Mask

By:

Halloween is so popular it’s the one time for all to dress up differently than they ever would on any given day. Halloween is the one excuse for girls to dress in something scandalous, while boys dress up in something gory. This year disguise yourself in a great mask this holiday. Don't spend countless amounts of money trying to find the perfect mask or Halloween costume. Get creative and make your own masks and costumes. Here is a great guide on how to make a Halloween mask.

Make a mask that can match your costume exactly-whether you're going to a Mardi Gras party, a Halloween party or any themed party-using our beads, tape and thread on a purchased plastic mask. It won't take very long to do, and you can create a custom mardi gras look.

You can make a cat mask using acrylics, rhinestones and a boa. You can be the cat's meow all night long. This is a cute little mask your kids might be able to wear if they're cat lovers.

Making a Halloween bat mask is just the ticket you've been looking for. Disguising yourself has never been so fun. You need a wood mask, purple velvet paper and a few other materials. Be sure you have all the materials before you start creating.

You need to:

1. Turn on your iron to the highest setting. Allow it to heat thoroughly.

2. Trace your mask on the back of your purple paper. Cut out the shape and glue it to the front of your mask. Trim the edges if necessary. Next cut strips of silver star paper and glue it, wrapped, around your mask's handle.

3. Using your iron, begin embellishing the mask. Iron purple ribbon around the edges of the mask, and wrap around the handle, ironing the ribbon in place. Next, use the Silver braid to embellish the eyes on your mask. Finish by adding silver to your handle.

You might also try to trace your mask onto black felt, and use that to make a soft backing for your mask.

I just love Halloween so much. I love all the candy and goodies along with the decorations and costumes. Making your own costume not only helps you save money, but it also gives you the chance to get creative. If you buy a costume, there might be some aspect about it that you don’t like, but if you make your own it can be original and you can get exactly what you want.

How to Make a Halloween Mask you ask again? Here are some other options:

Gold Devil Mask- Embellish a wooden mask with gold accents to create a dazzling mask for a Halloween costume.

Martian Mask- Use plastic canvas to create a fun martian mask for Halloween.

Homemade Halloween Masks- Create Halloween masks adorned with shapes such as bats, spider webs and candy corn.
