DIY Spider Hair Clips

By:

These DIY Spider Hair Clips are anything but scary, so they are the perfect accessory to wear this Halloween. Learn how to make a hair clip with this fun tutorial. With spiders in your hair and ghoulish fun in your heart, you will have the most fun Halloween ever. This is a great way to use those little plastic spiders that always end up in your children's goodie bags. Instead of adding them to the overcrowded toy box, turn them into some DIY Spider Hair Clips.

DIY Spider Hair Clips

Materials:

  • Plastic spiders from Craft Supply store
  • Hair Clips
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Orange piece of felt

Instructions:

  1. Collect your materials.

  2. Cut strip of orange felt to completely cover barrette clip. Felt can be slightly wider and longer than clip.

  3. Glue the orange piece of felt to the barrette clipper.

  4. Wrap the edges around the clip to create smooth ends.  Add glue if needed.

  5. Glue the spiders on the orange felt. Hold spiders tightly to secure their attachment. Keep in mind how you would like the spider to be angled and the position on the barrette you prefer.

  6. Before the spiders crawl away, use them as fun clips and watch those spiders turn into amazing Halloween accessories!
