Tin Frame Cut Outs

By:

These Tin Frame Cut Outs from Terri O. are perfect for using up aluminum supplies that you have around the house.  Decorate frames, border light switch covers, or come up with your own creative way to add some texture to your project.  By using disposable cookie sheets, you can create this unique border around anything you'd like.  This is also a great project for an after school activity or girls scout troop.

Materials:

  • Disposable cookie sheet
  • Small wood box or frame
  • E-6000 glue
  • Acrylic paint
  • Scissors

Instructions:

  1. Trace your pattern or design on the cookie sheet using a ball-point pen. (You might want to measure the sides of your frame or box lid first.)

  2. Cut design using scissors. Lay pieces out as you go. Add more decorative detail with pen if you'd like.

  3. Glue pieces onto frame or lid. Let dry for 24 hours.
