I have been making something like these for awhile but without the bead adjuster, so with mine each had to be custom made for the book I was using it for. Thanks for the added idea. Obviously the books I used them for were ones I continually had to refer to. But this makes it possible for the other books I read.

Oh, I also cut my ribbon with a mini-iron tool so that the edges are sealed, I used to use nail-polish, but my bookmarks are well-used and it doesn't stand up to the beating I put it through. As long as you use silk or polyester this is a great trick to use.

Celtic is my absoulute favorite. I may have to make one of these!!!!

I made these for small Christmas gifts for a few people last year. One of the ladies that got one has asked me to make her several for her to give as gifts this year. She works in an office with over 30 women and needs small gifts for each of them! Since I lost my job last year and have replaced it with less than half the pay, it's nice to have this site to get great idea's for little money! Thanks for the site!!!

I love how simple, yet stunning this bookmark is!

Great idea for a bookmark -- I love that it's adjustable, and also, unlike most bookmarks, it's cool that you can still see the decorative elements when the book is closed!
