Asian Inspired Embossing Board Card

This Eastern Promise Embossing Board has the perfect flair for a a unique card or theme party invitation. The decorative fans make give this card a hand-made touch that will impress all of your friends!

Materials:

• Eastern Promise Embossing Board
• 1 Sheet Of Letter Size Card (Main Body Of Card)
• Several Pieces Of Scrap Card Or Paper
• 6mm Embossing Tool
• Top Score Scoreboard (And Scorer)
• Drier Cloth Or Candle
• Low Tack Tape
• Foam Pads
• Adhesive
• Embellishments
• Scissors

Step 1

Score and fold the main sheet of cardstock in half using the Top Score Multiboard. Place this face down on the embossing
board and rub the drier cloth onto the back of the card (the wrong side of the card where you are going to emboss). Lay the
card onto the board with the bottom right corner butted up to the end pegs.

Step 2

As we are going to emboss the Bamboo canes as a background, we need to centralise the design in the centre of the card so we need to slide the cardstock across the board and hold in place with some low tack tape as shown here.

Step 3

Locate the embossing tool in the first leading channel at the bottom of the board. With a firm pressure push the tool up the
channel until you feel some resistance. Feel your way with the embossing tool until you find the direction the design is going
in. If you find this difficult it may help to emboss the design onto paper first and keep it at the side of you for a reference. Emboss all 3 Bamboo canes in this way.

Step 4

Turn the board over and place a piece of the scrap cardstock up to the pegs along the bottom and the side and hold in place
with low tack tape. Wipe the card with the drier cloth again and emboss both of the fan designs. Repeat this on pieces of scrap design paper to enhance the design. Carefully cut around the outside of the embossed designs and stick the pieces of
design paper to the fan. Here we have 3 different fans created in this way.

Step 5

Mount the fans onto foam squares and stick to the main card in different directions trying not to completely cover the Bamboo embossing you did earlier.

Tip: If you have any fine line border stickers or a gold pen and faux gems you can add to the embellishment of the fans and make them look very authentic. Just add a sentiment and an insert and you have a beautiful card.
