You'll never want to leave your outdoor space when you make your own Recycled Glass Garden Mushroom. Glass craft ideas help you cut down on your overall trash haul and go green in the process. Use a solar powered light for an eco-friendly touch. You can also use an old glass vase and light fixture to bring your piece to life. Whether you have acres of land to call your or just want to add a fun touch to a small balcony, this project is sure to get you in the mood for spring.

Materials:

  • Solar powered light (must still have the light and be in working condition)
  • Old used glass light fixture
  • Old glass vase
  • Two-part epoxy
  • Hot glue & gun

Instructions:

  1. Start by cleaning the vase, fixture and solar light bottom (especially where the glue will go).

  2. Using the two-part epoxy, glue the inner center of the fixture to the top of the vase. There should be a hole left in the top center that goes all the way into the vase.

  3. Set aside & allow epoxy to dry at least 24 hours. Allow to dry 7-10 days before getting wet or washing.

  4. Attach solar powered light with hot glue. Be sure to center the light so the bulb goes down into the center hole in the top of the mushroom.

This makes no sense to me - Broken Solar Powered Light (must still have the light and be in working condition) - how is it "Broken" if it still works?

Hi there - Thanks for pointing this out. We will modify the materials list to make this less confusing. Happy crafting!
