Made with easy to find materials and assembled in only a handful of steps, this Easy Peasy Snowman from Laura Kelly is a perfect project for kids to do with their parents.  This is a fun and easy way to still build a snowman when the weather outside is frightful!  Kids can decorate their snowman however they'd like, and you can have them on display all winter long.

Instructions:

  1. Hook two foam balls together using either hot glue from a gun or wire through the centers.  Add a scarf in the middle made from either ribbon or yarn.

  2. Cut a circle out of old fabric for the floppy part of his hat.  Stack buttons using hot glue in between each to make his hat too and add it with the hot glue.  Using straight pins with colored ball tops, add other buttons to make his nose and clothing buttons.

  3. Use the ball tipped straight pins to add eyes and a smile.

  4. Bend cloth floral wire to make arms and stick them into the foam body!

  5. Really, you can decorate him with anything but BUTTONS do work great!
