Pop Up Easter Greeting

Materials:

  • Busy Bunnies Perfectly Clear™ Stamps
  • Luv Bunnies Perfectly Clear™ Stamps
  • Small Rectangle Acrylic Handle
  • Versafine™ Onyx Black Ink Pad
  • Bazzill Card Stock: Festive, Seguaro, and white card stock
  • Pattern paper
  • Creative Impressions Ribbon: 1 1/2 inches
  • Fiskar's Corner Rounder
  • Zip Dry Adhesive
  • Scissors
  • Colored pencils
  • 1/4 inch hole punch

Instructions:

  1. Make a 4” x 6” card base from green cardstock.

  2. Cut a 3.75” x 5.75” panel of patterned paper. Round corners on right side. Mount to green card base leaving top unglued to serve as a pocket for carrots.

  3. Cut a piece of Orange card stock 3.5” x 5.5” – round all corners. Adhere to patterned paper.

  4. Cut a piece of white card stock 3.25” x 5.25” and stamp Bunny floating away while watering his carrots. Color with colored pencils. Adhere to orange card stock. Stamp another bunny on patterned paper and cut out his shirt and glue on top of bunny for a shirt that matches the patterned paper. Stamp and color a "carrot-mobile" and glue on top of patterned shirt.

  5. Stamp an extra bunny and color his ears, cut him out and glue him to the inside of patterned paper.

  6. Cut three 2” by 3 ½” orange strips of card stock. Round top edges with corner rounder, then cut into triangle shape. You can cut either a straight line or make a more organic curvy carrot, by cutting a wavy line.

  7. Punch a hole in the top of two carrots, leaving one without a hole punch.

  8. Stamp message first- both of the messages used on the carrots are from SSC266 Luv Bunnies.

  9. Using the kite from the SSC1103 Bunny set, stamp the carrot ridges with the string of the kite only. Be careful to not get ink on any other part of the kite stamp.

  10. Insert a piece of green ribbon about 5” long on two of the carrots. Tie in a knot.

  11. Insert two carrots into top of “pocket”.

  12. Stamp “have a hoppy day” inside the card near the top to create a “carrot top”. Color around the spiral and words with a light green colored pencil.

  13. Adhere the third carrot to the inside of the card right on top of the “hoppy day” greetings.

  14. Make as many carrot messages as you want and even write your own messages on the carrots!
