Yarn Wrapped Winter Wreath

This beautiful Yarn Wrapped Winter Wreath from Latrice Murphy is a great way to welcome guests and loved ones to your home.  Made with colorful yarn and paper embellishments, this yarn wrapped wreath is easy to make and fun to show off!  You can make this wreath in a variety of colors, and it doesn't have to just be for winter.  Use darker colors for a fall wreath, or show off bright fun neon colors for a fun summer decoration.

Materials:

  • 12” Styrofoam wreath
  • Yarn
  • Die cut embellishments
  • Gemstones
  • Mesh or tulle
  • Buttons
  • Hot glue gun
  • Large 1-½” ribbon

Instructions:

  1. Wrap your entire wreath with yarn. Knot the ends. This will get covered up by the hanging ribbon.
     
  2. Die cut about 16 embellishments in varying sizes.
     
  3. Decide on placement of items and then add them to the wreath with hot glue.
     
  4. Fill in gaps with buttons, gemstones, and ribbon.
     
  5. Add buttons and gems to the centers of your snowflakes as well.
     
  6. Tie the large ribbon to the top and make a knot. Then tie the left over in a bow to hang.
