Magazine Holder

If you have a lot of magazines laying around the house then this is a perfect craft project for you. Make a magazine holder to help organize your house. Cardstock comes in handy with this craft.

Materials:

  • Cricut Expression® Personal Electronic Cutter with Plantin SchoolBook and Accent Essentials® cartridges [290300]
  • Cricut® Sentimentals cartridge [2000067]
  • Magazine box
  • Cardstock: cream, black, purple, purple patterned, pink patterned
  • Ribbon: 25" cream, 25" black picot
  • 9 Pearl embellishments
  • Rhinestones: 6 large, 8 medium, 5 small
  • Picot edge scissors
  • Scissors
  • Foam squares and adhesive
     

Steps:

  1. Line magazine box with purple cardstock. Cover outside of box with purple pattered cardstock. Use picot edge scissors along upper edge.
     
  2. Adhere cream and black picot ribbons around box as shown.
     
  3. Cut flourish. Using Sentimentals cartridge and cream cardstock, cut one 6 ½" <Florish3>. Repeat cut using pink patterned cardstock and Layer feature. Repeat cut using black cardstock and Shadow feature. Adhere flourish together using foam squares between layers. Adhere to box as shown using foam squares.
     
  4. Embellish flourish and box with pearls and rhinestones as shown.
