Incredibly Easy Crochet Horse

Incredibly  Easy Crochet Horse

Materials:

  • 4.5 mm hook
  • Willow Burrow worsted, and Baby Bernat Light 3 yarn

Instructions:

Head

  1. Round 1: Ch 2 , 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook.(6sc)
     
  2. Round 2: Sc to join(mnr). sc in same st. 2 sc in ea st around.(12sc)
     
  3. Round 3: Sc to join(mnr) Sc in same st. *Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st.* Repeat from * to * around.(18sc)
     
  4. Round 4: Sc to join(mnr) Sc in same st. *Sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st.* Repeat from * to * around.(24sc)
     
  5. Round 5: Ss to join.(mnr) (hdc,dc,hdc) all in next back loop, ss in next 5 sts, 2 hdc in next st,  sc in next 3 sts.
     

Nose

  1. Row 1: Ch 1, turn, sc in next 4 sts
     
  2. Row 2: Turn, sc in next 2 sts tog, sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts tog (turning work, using side post as 1 part), sc in next post, ss to join, (you should be working round 5 again). Ss in next 3 sts, Hdc in next 2 sts, sc in next 3 sts, hdc in next 2 sts.

Neck

  1. Row 1: Ch 2. Turn, hdc in next 5 sts, 2 hdc in next 2 sts.
     
  2. Row 2: Ch 2. Turn. Hdc in next 7 sts, 2 hdc in last st, turn work so that you are working along the 'mane', ss to round marker.(hdc, dc, hdc) all in next front loop, Ss into next fl to join. Fasten Off.
     
  3. Cut approx 25 pieces of Pink(Baby Bernat Light 3) at approx. 4 inches ea. Attach to the horses mane using larks knot using 2 pieces at a time, placing in ea ss along mane, and a few between the ears(bangs), trim to desired length.
     
  4. Add pink sparkly puffy fabric paint in the ears, for the nostril, mouth and jaw line (pushing the mane out of the way). Allow to dry. Sew in a small button eye.
