If you use the flameless LED candles, they look fantastic, and you do not have to worry about the glass getting hot, or the flame. They also stay lit longer than a tealight.

Can a different type of yarn be used instead of the eco cotton blend? can a regular yarn acrylic yarn or a regular cotton be used?

Hi there, As long as the yarn is a similar weight, feel free to use another brand/type. Thanks!

Thank you. I just made one using Red Heart Super Saver ( just so I can get an idea) and I am IN LOVE!!! Now I just have to get the rings so I can make a hanging one!!! Thank you SOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!

The rings that are mentioned in the pattern can be found in the drapery section of most department/discount stores for a much "Nicer" price than going to the craft store.

Fantastic my grandaughter bought me home a cover for my drink bottle very similar to the hanging luminary all ways wanted to make some more as everyone asks me where I got it from so this is my next project . They are very handy with a long crocheted shoulder stap you don't have to worry about putting your drink bottle down and forgetting it

I have a lot of Red Heart yarn, but none of the Eco-Cotton Blend. By chance could I just use some of the yarn that I already have? Thanks.

Don't use sand to hold the candle. Sand will transfer the heat to the glass. Use plain clay kitty litter...which is also easier to sweep up if it spills.

Hi Raycdelahaye 3429547, You can find rings like that at most craft stores, just ask a sales person what isle they would be in. Hope that helps! -Editors of FaveCrafts.com

This looks so cute. Can you tell me where to get the rings? thanks

I just made one of these and it turned out so cute! Thanks for the pattern. KL

Instead of using tealights, i use battery operated candles, about 6inches tall, works very good.
