Flower Embellishment Crochet Pattern



Crochet a pretty flower embellishment, accented with assorted beads, to adorn a hat, bag or jacket. You can easily turn this crochet flower into a pin or sew straight onto any garment. This crochet flower pattern comes to us from Ashton11.

Crochet Flower Embellishment


  • Knitting worsted,
  • Crochet Hook, size 6 mm (US J 10)
  • Yarn needle
  • Assorted beads


Bottom layer:
Chain 5, slip stitch to join. Make 10 single crochet in the ring, slip stitch to join.
Make *5 double crochet in the next stitch, single crochet in the next stitch.(petal formed). Repeat from * to make a total of 5 petals, slip stitch to join, and fasten off.

Top layer:
Chain 2, make 5 single crochet in the 2nd stitch from the hook, slip stitch to join. In the next stitch, make *3 double crochet, 1 single crochet, (petal formed). Repeat from * to make a total of 5 petals, slip stitch to join
and fasten off. Stack the top layer over the bottom layer, and sew together. Sew a cluster of beads of your choice in the center.

Hi, djhixson. The top layer is made separately from the bottom layer, so it would be started in the same manner as you start the bottom layer, making a new chain from your skein of yarn. The two layers are sewn together when both are finished.

is something missing?where does the top layer start?
