Easy Keyboard Duster

Use this easy crochet pattern to make a unique crochet pattern. Whenever you're looking for something to dust off your computer keyboard with you can use your new duster. It's handy for reaching small spaces in your home and office.

MEASUREMENT
Approx 5½ ins [14 cm] diameter.

MATERIALS

  • Lily Sugar’n Cream (70.9 g/2.5 oz; 109 m/120 yds)
  • Contrast A (01712 Hot Green) 1 ball
  • Contrast B (01009 Soft Teal) 1 ball
  • Contrast C (00042 Tea Rose) 1 ball
  • Size 4 mm (U.S. G or 6) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.

GAUGE
15 sc and 16 rows = 4 ins [10 cm].

ABBREVIATIONS
Loop = Insert hook into st. Wrap yarn around finger and pull up a loop. Keeping finger in place, yoh and draw through 2 loops on hook – Loop made.

INSTRUCTIONS
Back

With A, ch 2.
1st rnd: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join with sl st in first sc.
**2nd rnd: Ch 1. 2 sc in each sc around. Join with sl st in first sc.12 sc.
3rd rnd: Ch 1. *2 sc in next sc. 1 sc next sc. Rep from * around. Join with sl st in first sc. 18 sc.
4th rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in next sc. *2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. Rep from * to last sc. 1 sc in last sc. Join with sl st to first sc. 24 sc.
5th rnd: Ch 1. *2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 3 sc. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to first sc. 30 sc.
6th rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. *2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 4 sc. Rep from * to last 2 sc. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. Join with sl st to first sc. 36 sc.
7th rnd: Ch 1. *2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 5 sc. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to first sc. 42 sc.
8th rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of next 3 sc. *2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 6 sc. Rep from * to last 2 sc. 1 sc in each of next 3 sc. Join with sl st to first sc. 48 sc.**
9th rnd: Ch 1. *2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 7 sc. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to first sc. 54 sc.
Fasten off.

Front
With B, ch 2.
1st rnd: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join with sl st to first sc.
Work from ** to ** as given for Back, substituting Loop for each sc.
Note: Loops will be on WS of work.
9th rnd: Ch 1. *2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 7 sc. Rep from * around. Join with sl st in first sc. 54 sc.
Fasten off.

Handle
With C, ch 6. Join with sl st to first ch.
1st rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of next 6 ch. Join A with sl st to first sc.
2nd rnd: With A, ch 1. 1 sc in each of next 6 sc. Join B with sl st to first sc.
3rd rnd: With B, ch 1. 1 sc in each of next 6 sc. Join C with sl st to first sc.
4th rnd: With C, ch 1. 1 sc in each of next 6 sc. Join A with sl st to first sc.
Rep last 3 rnds until Handle measures 6 ins [15 cm].
Fasten off.

FINISHING
With RS of Front (flat side) and WS of Back facing, join C with sl st at edge. Working through both thicknesses, work 1 rnd of sc around to join Fasten off. Sew Handle to Back as shown in picture.
