A doll I used to make for my daughters when they were small. If they had a good/fun day they played with smiley head and when they had a bad/not so good day they flipped it over and played with sad-sack head.

Line 13 is useless! Made my own pattern for this line - it worked for me.....*sc on 3 sc on body, sc x2 in next sc (armpit) - 10sc up one side of arm, 2sc in 11th st, 10sc down other side (back loops) 2sc in next sc* - repeat from * to * skipping last 2sc in last st - join with sl st to beginning ch. (58sc).

Line 13 does not work at all!! I ended up leaving the arms off and just making the arms separately. I could at least finish the project that way. But this person, whomever they are, should either correct the pattern or quit taking credit for a pattern that is unworkable! :(

Have a look at my suggestion for this problem - hope it helps..........

Rating=F What a WASTE of my time. The pattern at line 13 doesn't work. I see mulltiple people had the same problem with no response from the creator. This pattern should be deleted.

has anyone figured out row 13? I'm trying to make this & it's very frustrating...

where do I go to find the answer to my question. I would like to complete this project. THANK YOU

I'm still waiting for answer to my question. What are the correct directions following row 13?

I'm still waiting for answer to my question. What are the correct directions following row 13?

I also can not figure out what the next step is after row 13 Please HELP

I am having the same problem as Margaret C below. How do I get an answer so I can finish the doll?

I have a cloth version of this type of doll, called a flopsy. One side is little red riding hood and when you flip the skirt, it is the wolf in grandma's cloths. Thanks for the this pattern it opens itself up to many versions and is a fun item for gift giving.

This doll is very cute, but the directions are a mess. When I finally got around to trying this I couldn't get past round 13. I did it at least 10 times before I gave up. if you crochet up one side of the arm, you need to do something to get back to the body...that makes 48 stitches for the arms alone. too bad this is had huge possibilites.

I was confused when making the mood doll. Finally figured out the arms but please tell me how to do the hair. The directions are very confusing. Do I chain 4 0r 6, attach to head then single back down and back up or what?

Did anyone ever send you an answer to this problem? I am having the same one. I can't figure out where to go from here.

Help, I am stuck. On round 12 I made the second arm and crocheted back to the body--this is where I am stuck. It says to join with a slst in first sc where FIRST chain began. 34 sts. (This would appear that you would be pulling the two arms together and leaving the body part out in order to join where the first chain began.) The 34 sts would be 11 from each arm and 6 from front and back of body. Then round 13 says Ch 1. SC across in back loops of ch for first ARM 11sts. (This would leave you at end of arm away from body. How do you get back to the body to do the following?) Then it says to sc in 3 sc on body, sc twice in next sc, sc in 2 sc on body and continue up back of 2nd arm. (Here again we are ending up at end of arm away from the body and the pattern goes on to crochet on the body giving us 36 sts.) Round 14 thru 16 are telling you to sc in each of 36 sc around, ARMS and body. I would really like to make this doll if someone could clarify these instructions for me. If you crocheted both sides of the arm you would have more sts.

Did anyone ever send you an answer to this problem? I am having the same one. I can't figure out where to go from here.

I am having the same problem at round 13. Did we get an answer?

Nice to see a crocheted version. I have seen many versions in knit.

My Great-Grandmother made me a doll like that when I was little. It was sewn with a blond girl in a yellow dress and a black girl with a red dress and scarf arounde her head. This brought back a lot of memories. Can't wait to make it
