Christmas Toilet Paper Cozy

Materials:

• 1 skein each Jockey Red, White and Paddy Green Red Heart 4-ply yarn
• G crochet hook or size needed for gauge
• Tapestry Needle
• Standard size toilet tissue

Gauge: 6 dc = 2”
2 rows = 1 ½”

Stitches Used:

Chain (ch), Single Crochet (sc), Half Double Crochet (hdc), Double Crochet (dc), Slip Stitch (sl st)

Body:

Rnd 1 – With red ch 50 and form a ring, ch 3, work 1 dc in each ch around, join to top of  beg ch 3. Do not turn. (50 dcs)
Rnds 2-4 – Ch 3, work 1 dc in each dc, join to top of beg ch 3.
Rnd 5 – Continue pattern and fasten off.
Rnd 6 – Join white with a sl st in any dc, sc in same sp, work 1 sc in each dc around, join to beg sc and fasten off. (50 scs)
Rnd 7 – Join green with a sl st in any sc, ch 2, 2 dc in same st, *skip 1 sc, 3 dc in next sc,  rep from * around, join to top of beg ch 2.
Rnd 8 – (Sl st, ch 2, sl st) in next st, *sl st in each of next 2 st, (sl st, ch 2, sl st) in next st, rep from * around, join to beg sl st and fasten off.

Top:

Rnd 1 – With green ch 4 and form a ring, ch 3, work 12 dc in ring, join to top of beg ch 3. Do Not Turn. (13 dcs)
Rnd 2 – Ch 3, dc in same st, work 2 dc in each dc around, join to top of beg ch 3. (26 dcs)
Rnd 3 – Work RND in BACK st. Ch 3, *2 dc in next st, dc in next st, rep from * around, join to top of beg ch 3 and fasten off. (39 dcs)
Rnd 4 – Join white with a sl st in any dc, ch 2, hdc in next st, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in  each of next 2 dc, rep from * around, join to top of beg ch 2 and fasten off.  (52 hds)



Make a pompom with red, white and green and attach to top.
With white yarn, whipstitch top to bottom.
