A simple pattern with a bit of texture. I love it. Baby blankets are always good gifts. I knit for charity and this pattern will be well used. Does not take much time and it is well appreciated. Thank you.

Hi.i want to make this easy blanket for my first grandkid..what does work in front loops mean? Thank u.

To built3010, try crocheting the foundation row with a larger hook and loosely. It might seem like it is too big, but it will work fine when you switch back to your hook size and get a couple of rows in. An alternative would be to use the "foundation single crochet" stitch (which you can search for a video tutorial online). This gets your chain and foundation row complete all in one stitch and makes it very easy to hang on to!

Thank you for the suggestion. When I didn't get an answer back in Feb. I started searching the internet for a solution and found just what you suggested. I tried the larger hook and when that didn't help I tried the foundation single crochet. I have vision problems anyway so I finally gave up, sent the yarn to my daughter and am crocheting a different pattern with yarn I can handle. My mistake was ordering the yarn over the internet without actually feeling and looking at the type of yarn involved. Lesson learned!

This is my first time using this type of yarn and I'm having problems making sure I don't skip a chain stitch as I crochet the first row. Do I need to make the chain exceptionally loose? I've been trying to feel for the opening as I go, but twice I've missed one and it's getting frustrating. Any hints on handling this yarn?

I love this blanket it is stretchy and soft. It will make a great gift for my new niece. Can't wait to see her.

mrsdonie your not reading the pattern right. When you get down with the 1st row the end of it chain 2 (that's the turning up to the next row) then you work in the front loops only but you double crochet in @ double crochet. Really easy pattern. Every row should only have 60 double crochet. That's including the chain 2 as a stitch. Hope this helps you.

I am doing something wrong. I ended up with a lovey, but not right, !!! " double crochet in each double crochet across." 2nd row? I ended up with about 120 stitches! on my 3rd row. What am I doing wrong

Waiting for the new grandbaby and love when I find a simple project that is so adorable. Thank you.

Simple, yet snuggly and cute!

I'm always looking for fast and easy projects to do for the humanitarian group in or church

So cute and cuddly!! Not to mention very quick to make!

we have a pinkfoot on the way....started this immedistely LoVe it so much....the blanky and the baby on the way!!!!

This blanket is way to cute. What baby wouldn't want to cuddle up with it.

When you crochet, on the top of the single or double or any, there are two loops, sort of like a V. They want you to double crochet in the one that is facing you, or the front loop. It just creates a different look, like a ridge that you see in the picture. Hope this helps!!

on the cozy baby blanket pattern just which are the FRONT LOOPS? Arlie G. California
