Striped Chunky Blanket

Striped Chunky Blanket

Materials:

  • 3 balls Bernat® Baby Coordinates Chunky (100 g / 3.5 oz) yarn in Colorful Cozies (MC)
  • 2 balls Bernat® Baby Coordinates Chunky (100 g / 3.5 oz) yarn in Snuggly Sprite (A)
  • 2 balls Bernat® Baby Coordinates Chunky (100 g / 3.5 oz) yarn in Toasty Teal (B)
  • Size 6.5 mm (U.S. K or 10½) crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge

 

Gauge:  12 sts and 5 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in pat.

 

Instructions:
Approx 37 ins [94 cm] wide x 40 ins [101.5 cm] long.

  1. With A, ch 112 loosely.
     
  2. 1st row: (RS). 1 hdc in 3rd ch from hook. 1 hdc in each of next 4 ch. *3 hdc in next ch. 1 hdc in each of next 5 ch. Miss next ch. 1 hdc in next ch. Miss next ch. 1 hdc in each of next 5 ch. Rep from * to last 7 ch. 3 hdc in next ch. 1 hdc in each of last 6 ch. Turn.
     
  3. 2nd row: Ch 2. Miss first 2 hdc. Working in back loop only of each st, 1 hdc in each of next 5 hdc. *3 hdc in next hdc. 1 hdc in each of next 5 hdc. Miss next hdc. 1 hdc in next hdc. Miss next hdc. 1 hdc in each of next 5 hdc. Rep from * to last 6 hdc. 1 hdc in each of next 5 hdc. Miss next hdc. 1 hdc in top of turning ch. Join MC. Turn.
     
  4. 3rd row: With MC, ch 2. Miss first 2 hdc. Working in front loop only of each st, 1 hdc in each of next 5 hdc. *3 hdc in next hdc. 1 hdc in each of next 5 hdc. Miss next hdc. 1 hdc in next hdc. Miss next hdc. 1 hdc in each of next 5 hdc. Rep from * to last 7 hdc. 3 hdc in next hdc. 1 hdc in each of next 5 hdc. Miss next hdc. 1 hdc in top of turning ch. Turn.
     
  5. 4th row: With MC, as 2nd row. Join B. Turn.
     
  6. 5th and 6th rows: With B, as 3rd and 4th rows. Join MC. Turn.
     
  7. 7th and 8th rows: With MC, as 3rd and 4th rows. Join A. Turn.
     
  8. 9th and 10th rows: With A, as 3rd and 4th rows. Join MC. Turn.
     
  9. Rep 3rd to 10th rows for pat until work from beg measures approx 40 ins [101.5 cm], ending on a 10th row of pat. Fasten off.
