It would look great on an animal rights poster. Yes I know it is not real but who wants to look like they are wearing fox tails. Yes it is ugly.

sorry, I think it's really ugly

I appreciate the imagination, creativity, and energy that went into creating this faux fur piece. It would not be something I would make to wear myself, but I would take it on as a commission or as a gift for someone special who specifically requested one or both pieces.

I absolutely love it. And Yes I would wear this wrap. I am already thinking of what color choices in yarn that I will choose. I rate it with 5 stars Ethel

I can't wear something like this. There is too much of it and too much of me. And actually I don't like it anyway.

I don't care for this for myself. It would bring too much attention to me, and that is something that I cannot deal with.

LOVE IT!!!!!

That is one uglyass thing. No way would I waste the time to make it, the money to buy the yarn and most definitely would not wear it. It looks like something someone pullout of a dumpster or dreamed up during a really bad nightmare. This critter needs to have a minus rating system added to your rating table! Yee gods, that's ugly.

I wouldn't make it or wear it. It would take a special person to carry this off

Giving it a pretty good because the designer was very creative. However it is not to my tastes. I prefer timeless more conservative things. If I am going to spend a lot of time creating something, I will want to be able to wear it for many years.

A little too fancy for me...... It is cute for a younger person.

I can see that much imagination, creativity, time and effort went into this piece, it is not something I'd make for myself. I would make it as a commission or as a gift for someone special who specifically requested it.

I wouldn't make it or wear it. When I first saw the picture I thought it looked like the model was wrapped in sausages! Once I enlarged the photo so I could get a better look, it looked like tails. No thanks!

I'm giving it an OK but. Different brand of eyelash, different color scheme, and making it more like a stole than a wrap. And the neckline is going to be different when I get done with the project. The purse, is the part I can't fathom. That is the truly horrid part. Bernat does great yarn, I use some of their other yarns. This is a miss on color. I looked at the other Boa Colors I can get and I just couldn't match up something I did like, so. I can see this as a dressup my jeans for an evening for meeting friends for food and fun on the town. Not for everyone, and not in this format!

Started. I got a glossier slightly heavier eyelash and am doing it in black and a very dark silver grey for the tipping. Once I make enough 'tails' I'm making a scarf (stole) that's narrower to make it look like a foxtail garment. I am debating on getting one of my flat looms out and looming an angora like liner for it, so it would look more like a fun fur than what this looks like in it's original sample. If I could have gotten the right russet redbrown or a good mahogany, that and black tip might look good too. I'll see if I get through making enough tails. The purse... I think should be burned.

Yikes!!! Looks like the tails of many dead animals. Not even as a joke would I waste my time with this whatever it is.

Would make a great Halloween Costume.

Oh good lord! Thank goodness we all have different tastes! I'm sorry but I will have to agree with the last two posts, its just plain old ugly and makes the model look horrible and fat!

This is downright ugly. No, I would never make it because neither I, or anyone I know would wear the thing.

There is no way any one I know would wear that! It's ugly and makes the model look at least twice as big as she most likely is.

This is one of the strangest things I've seen. It is not my style but it would be beautiful on someone else.

I really like it, but I would probably never wear it and I don't know anyone that would.

I absolutely LOVE it. I am going to try to follow the pattern, to see if I can do it. If I can, I will most probably make it. It's different, it's elegant, it's just GREAT!!!!!

This is kind of different, flirty, 1930's kinds of whata be that is really quite clever!! And I have just the daughter to suprise with it. What a fun project!!!

It may be fashionable or trendy to some people, but to me it's just the ugliest thing I've seen in a long time.

I totally agree with you, this thing is hideous!

I'm sorry, I just don't like it at all.

You can use a color you like also?

I love the wrap, i'm not real big on purses, but I love wild flairy, hippy kinda stuff, especially when the pattern is an easy one...thanks!

Sorry, but to me this is awful - perhaps it is better for someone a bit more adventurous.

It's ugly!! I never did like fox & this just looks tacky!

I would definately not make this. No one I know, nor myself, would ever wear this.

I think it's kind of cool looking but I'm not loving it so I don't think I would spend my time or money on supplies to make this. To be honest if I did make it I don't know where I would wear it.

No way definately not my style and I don't know any one that might even wear it at all!!!

Not really my style, but I know of others that would wear it, and it looks really challenging and I love a challenge, so I will give it a try. Oh, and ladies, it doesn't have to be the color that is shown, I think a blue fox-tail would look very pretty, or use your imagination.....

Okay, I really love this, but not for my (ahem) full-figured body. I think it would make me look like a balloon on top. But I love the basic outline of the wrap. It's something I've been looking for

I'm really sorry but NO. It is just not my style.

Oooh Nooooo! This is so U-G-L-Y!!!

sorry, this is the ugliest thing I have seen in ages!

Unfortunately for whomever designed this hideous monstrosity, I think it is quite possibly the ugliest clothing decision I have ever seen. I would not wear this to take out the trash. It is horrid!

I think it is a neat idea but where would you ever wear it?

I think ot could have potential for some, but not my style at all. More soft, sweet, simplicity for me please. I really liked the most recent Editor's pick; the Hairpin Lace Shawl.

Aside from the fact that it looks like a bunch of dead squirrels' tails ... uh.no.

I think that the people that have left bad comments just have no imagination and can't see the possibility's. Yes, as the pattern is now it is not very attractive, but, I would use the tails in a different way. Look back at the older real fur stoles and shawls and adapt and modify this pattern to make it more attractive. I agree that the colors are not the best and there are too many tails. Even a real fur with that many tails would be too many. See the possibility's, use your imagination and create something beautiful.

So.... you're saying its ugly to right? Too much, wrong color, and needs modification! No one that left a negative comment including me said there were no other uses for the design but this picture is just UGLY! There are possibilities but it'll take some doing!

It's an advanced pattern. I can't imagine anyone in my area wearing it. It really is over the top. I'm a plus size. That would really make me look huge.

I like it on someone else, but it's not my style. I'm too practical to wear this, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't make it for someone else. Just don't have time to work on something so elaborate. It's for someone who has everything.

I don't post to things like this but i just HAVE to - this is ridiculous - what an ugly unfortunate accident - what was someone thinking? The designer should be hung out to dry!

It's rather hideous.

Well, you asked for my opinion, its ugly, wouldnt even think about making it, forget about wearing it..who in their right mind do wear something like this... its a rag.dot

OMG. That is so butt ugly I wouldn't even think about crocheting that wad.

EEEK!

I am going to get some yarn and start TONIGHT! The purse I will do at another time.

The pattern would be an interesting challenge, but I would never make this because there isn't a market for something like this in my area.

Not my style...too dressy for my lifestyle

I think it is fabulous!! And I appreciate the various of sizes!!!

I am all for an updated style but I can't figure out if this looks like a dog or a sheep? Would not make this one:(

I would NOT make this!! I think it's TACKY.....I am afraid a HOUND DOG would come after me!!

I love this, but like others have said, it ads a lot of bulk. I also would like to see an enlarged photo, and also the back. I think it could look tacky unless you have the right "look" to pull it off.

I would make and wear it. I would use diffrent colors most likly. I like the look, it would have been nice if it enlargedon screen.

I would like to see the picture enlarged to make a decision if I would make it. The colors are terrible for me. Maybe, a "Fall" could pull it off but not a "Winter" like me. Black in different tectures would be so much better. Even a fake fur yarn would be good. I would make it and wear it. I am 65 and pudgy. I don't care what people say about me but they always love my clothing. I change the patterns. I add some different, but stylish clothing from Goodwill. Some of these I alter their style or color. My friends at Church love the outfits I come up with. Old, young, men, and women comment on my clothing. The best thing about it is that some of them have copyied my style. Even the older ladies are now wearing hats like I do. Life is too short to take it seriously. Have fun and comparing yourself to thin runway models will never make you or anyone around you happy. My best LMc

It is interesting but I will never make it or wear it. I wouldn't have even if I was younger and slimmer. It's a little to over the top for me. I agree with the runway comment.

i think its beautiful . and if i were younger i would make one for myself .

Why are you still asking if "we" would make this shawl - now in Jan 2012, and you have been asking since 2009 - from the replies I scrolled through. I think it is time to put in the delete file and leave it there. I agree with the reader that the only women that could even wear would be under 120 lbs and working the runways.

I would not make this shawl. Looks like a Christmas tree with all the same ornaments. I don't like it, has too many frills, just not very becoming on anyone over 120 pounds. LB

You only wear this Modeling on a runway for show, not in public. Ridiculous.

Call me old school, but I was raised that if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all so my comment is...........................................................and then there is the............................................... But the color is interesting.

I think that it is kind of cute. I would really like to see a closer picture of it. The way it is it is really hard to see exactly what they look like...It kind of looks old fashioned too. good job. I don't know if I personally would make this only because I really don't know where I would wear something like this. have a great day and be blessed.....

I don't mean to offend, but we were asked our opinions, so here goes! I think that is the ugliest thing ever! It's creative and innovative but to me, it's just way too bizarre. Sorry!

Not for me! Looks like something the cat dragged in!

Sorry, but think it is hideous!! That's just for hideous people!!

I think it looks really cool! I like it. I would wear it. I actually prefer the real thing, but this is a nice alternative.

It's interesting. I like seeing different patterns. Don't think I could pull it off, though. Needs a beautiful young woman like the model to wear it with flair.

Sorry, strange looking.

You know, this looks like something my dogs chewed up.

I LOVE this as it is very unusual. I guess I go for trendy clothes. I like one of a kind stuff.

This looks like something made out of the dead ferrets used to feed Buckbeak in the Harry Potter movie. What a waste of yarn.

We apologize for the confusion. This is a crochet pattern and it has been corrected. Thank you for the observation. -The Editors of FaveCrafts

This is a crochet pattern not knit. Do you have a new knit pattern ?

At the top of this pattern it says it is for knitting but the instructions are for crochet? Ruth

This does not appear to be a knit pattern Is there a knit version?
