Triple Thick Ear Warmer

Need a little extra insulation in the bitter cold winter weather? The triple thick ear warmer pattern from Red Heart Yarn is what you need! This ear warmer crochet pattern is a great beginner project, and it's practical too!

Triple Thick Ear Warmer

Ear Warmer circumference: 16”.

Materials:

  • RED HEART® “Light & Lofty®”: 1 Skein 9617 Pheasant Multi.
  • Crochet Hook: 9mm [US N-15].
  • Yarn needle.
  • Stitch marker, yarn needle.

 

GAUGE: 8 sc = 4”; 6 rows = 4”. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.
 

Stitch Abbreviations:

  • Bobble: In same st, [yo, insert hook, yo, draw up loop, yo draw through first 2 loops on hook] 3 times, yo, draw through all loops on hook, ch 1.
  • Foundation Single Crochet (fsc): *Insert hook in ch, draw up a loop, ch in new loop, yo, draw through 2 loops on hook (counts as 1 ch and 1 sc); repeat from * to make required number of sts.

Instructions:

EARWARMER
Row 1 (Right Side): Ch 2, beginning in 2nd ch from hook, work 10 fsc.
Row 2 And All Even Number Rows: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across, turn – 10 sc.
Row 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in next 2 sts, Bobble in next st, sc to end.
Row 5 and 21: Ch 1, turn, sc in next 3 sts, Bobble in next st, sc to end.
Row 7 and 19: Ch 1, turn, sc in next 4 sts, Bobble in next st, sc to end.
Row 9 and 17: Ch 1, turn, sc in next 5 sts, Bobble in next st, sc to end.
Row 11 and 15: Ch 1, turn, sc in next 6 sts, Bobble in next st, sc to end.
Row 13: Ch 1, turn, sc in next 7 sts, Bobble in next st, sc to end.
Row 23: Ch 1, turn, sc in next 2 sts, Bobble in next st, sc to end.
Fasten off.


FINISHING
Sew short ends together.
Weave in ends.
