Mix and match scrap yarn for this quick and easy crochet scarf from Jennifer Cirka. Use this free crochet scarf pattern to make your own this winter.

Quick and Easy Crochet Scarf


  • Two skeins of yarn, worsted weight or thinner
  • N-15 / 10 mm crochet hook
  • Scissors


Finished Size

Not important


  1. Row 1: Working with 2 strands together and leaving a long tail (approximately 6-8”), ch 120. Finish off leaving another long tail.
  2. Row 2: Starting with a slip knot on your hook and leaving a long tail, sc in the last ch made and each ch across. Finish off leaving another long tail. Turn.
  3. Row 3: Starting with a slip knot on your hook and leaving a long tail, sc in the last sc made and each sc across. Finish off leaving another long tail. Turn.
  4. Repeat row 3 for desired width. Trim yarn ends to desired length for fringe.

I think this is a smart design! I am going to try this one for sure :) Hope I will be able to crochet it as I did some crochet in school. After so many years (almost 20 yrs!) I want to make some quick and easy scarfs for my sister and myself. This is going to be fun :)

I am new to crocheting n not sure I understand. Do I use both colors at once through the whole scraf or use one color each time for each row (making stripes)?
