To make both ends of the scarf at least appear the same, just repeat the pattern on the beginning straight edge. I chained 3, did one double crochet, then followed through with the shell pattern so there are three repeats across, then ended with 2 double crochets. That way the starting edge is no longer straight! I think this is easier than sewing two halves together, but it does mean additional weaving of yarn ends. Hope this helps.

does anyone know the answer to the question about how to make both ends of the scarf the same?

This is a pretty pattern, but I don't like how one edge is straight and the other is shell curved with the pattern. Is there no way to make both ends uniform?

I want to make sure I understood this correctly. "Repeat last row (from beginning of 2nd row?) and do I skeep one chain ? Thanks.
