Materials:

  • 2 skeins Red Heart Soft yarn (worsted weight/medium 4) in the colors of your choice
  • Crochet Hook Size – I
  • Tapestry needle for weaving in the ends.

Gauge:

  • 8 stitches and 4 ½ Rows = approximately 2 inches.

Abbreviations:

  • ch – chain
  • dc – double crochet
  • hdc – half double crochet
  • sc – single crochet
  • sl st – slip st
  • sp – space

Instructions:

  1. ch 4, sl st into first ch to make a ring.
     
  2. Round 1: ch 2, 12 dc in ring, sl st in first dc (12 st)
     
  3. Round 2: ch 2, 2 dc in each dc, sl st in first dc (24 st)
     
  4. Round 3: ch 2 and dc in same sp, work 2 dc in next dc, *dc in next dc, work 2 dc in next dc*, repeat from *to*, join by sl st in first dc (36 st)
     
  5. Round 4: ch 2 and dc in same sp, dc in next dc, work 2 dc in next dc, *dc in next 2 dc, work 2 dc in next dc*, repeat from *to*, join by sl st in first dc (48 st)
     
  6. Round 5: ch 2 and dc in same sp, dc in next 2 dc, work 2 dc in next dc, *dc in next 3 dc, work 2 dc in next dc*, repeat from *to*, join by sl st in first dc (60 st)
     
  7. Round 6: ch 2 and dc in same sp, dc in next dc and around, join by sl st in first dc (60 st)
     
  8. Round 7:  ch 1 and sc in same sp, sc in next dc and around, Change color, join by sl st in first sc. (60 st)
     
  9. Round 8:  ch 2 and hdc in same sp, hdc in next sc and around, Change color, join by sl st in first hdc (60 st)
     
  10. Round 9:  ch 1 and sc in same sp, sc in next hdc and around, join by sl st in first sc (60 st)
     
  11. Round 10:  ch 2 and dc in same sp, dc in next sc and around, join by sl st in first dc (60 st)
     
  12. Round 11-18 – Repeat Rounds 7-10 (2 times)
     
  13. Rounds 19-21- Repeat Rounds 7-9
     
  14. Round 22:  ch 1 and sc in same sp, sc in next hdc and around, join by sl st in first sc (60 st)
     
  15. Fasten off and weave in the ends.
