Moonbeam Flower

For a lovely crochet project, turn to the Moonbeam flower. This crochet flower can be made easily and you'll love that you made it yourself! There are also many different ways you can use this adorable flower. This crochet project has 6 yellow petals with an orange center and stamens.

Moonbeam Flower

Materials:

  • Red Heart Yarn, Center – Orange #245 2 yds.
  • Red Heart Yarn, Petals – Yellow #230 4 yds.
  • Stamens – DMC #743
  • H hook

Instructions:

Center of Flower:
With H hook and orange [leave 30” for behind petals] ch 3 to form a ring, work 6 sc in ring, join to beg sc and fasten off.

Petals:
With yellow (sc, ch 3, trc, ch 3, sc) in each sc, join to beg sc and fasten off.

With 6 strands DMC #743 work 7 french knots in center of flower.
(Continue with Rnd 1 as established in general instructions.)

General Instructions:

  1. If sewing flower directly to crocheted item omit instructions between [ ].
     
  2. If continuing a pattern behind the petals of a flower, use all instructions for the flower then crochet the following:

Rnd 1 – (Behind Petals)
With H hook and 30” strand of yarn (left behind flower) work in center of the
flower *sc between any 2 sc, ch 3, cont from * around evenly spacing 3 more
ch 3 sps, join to beg sc and fasten off. (4 ch 3 sps)
Continue with your pattern.
