Blue Daisy Flower

Create this blue daisy flower for a fun and easy crochet project. Just follow the simple pattern and you'll have a wonderful crochet piece in no time. This flower has 10 petals in blue with yellow center and stamens.

Blue Daisy Flower

Materials:

  • Red Heart Yarn, Center – Yellow #230 2 yds.
  • Red Heart Yarn, Petals – True Blue #822 6 yds.
  • Stamens – DMC #973
  • H hook
  • I hook

Instructions:

Center of Flower:
With H hook and yellow [leave 30” for behind petals], ch 4 and form a ring, 8 sc in ring, join to beg sc and fasten off.

Petals:
With I hook and true blue *(sl st, ch 4, trc, ch 4, sl st)* in 3 scs (3 petals made), **(sl st, ch 4, trc, ch 4, sl st, ch 4, trc, ch 4, sl st)** in next sc (2 petals made), rep between * * in next 2 scs (2 petals made), rep between ** ** in next sc (2 petals made), rep between * * in last sc, join to beg sl st and fasten off. (10 petals)

With 6 strands DMC #973 fill entire center of flower with french knots.
(Continue with Rnd 1 as established in general instructions.)

General Instructions:

  1. If sewing flower directly to crocheted item omit instructions between [ ].
     
  2. If continuing a pattern behind the petals of a flower, use all instructions for the flower then crochet the following:

Rnd 1 – (Behind Petals)
With H hook and 30” strand of yarn (left behind flower) work in center of the
flower *sc between any 2 sc, ch 3, cont from * around evenly spacing 3 more
ch 3 sps, join to beg sc and fasten off. (4 ch 3 sps)
Continue with your pattern.
