Materials:

  • 3 skeins Caron International's Simply Soft (100% Acrylic, 6 oz/170g, 315 yd/288 m) yarn in Off White
  • 2 skeins Caron International's Simply Soft (100% Acrylic, 6 oz/170g, 315 yd/288 m) yarn in Pistachio
  • 2 skeins Caron International's Simply Soft (100% Acrylic, 6 oz/170g, 315 yd/288 m) yarn in Melon
  • Sizes US I-9 (5.5mm) or size to obtain gauge

Gauge:  In ripple pattern, 1 pattern repeat and 6 rows = 4"/10 cm.  Gauge is after fabric has been blocked. One pattern repeat is one 'ripple', measure from top point of one ripple to top point of next ripple.

Notes:

  • The ripples formed by the pattern stitch become more evident after four or more rows have been worked.
  • To change color, work last stitch of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete stitch. Proceed with new color. Fasten off old color.

I am wondering if anyone else has the problem of increases in rows even though you're following the pattern? I have such a hard time after the 2nd row because the count is off due to the increases for the "mountains". I follow the patterns to the letter so I'm lost a to what is happening. Any help?

Pay close attention to your beginning stitch, make sure you are starting in the Same place each and every time, the same goes to how you are ending your rows. And don't forget to count each row. Sometimes we don't pay attention to how we end each row.
