Kenner, there is a link to the Chart for the star up above in the Materials section. I think you must single crochet with white for every x in the chart. Be aware that hkity notes that there is 38 stitches in the foundation chain and only 36 stitches in the chart. I would love to make it, but I am going to try the star square with some scrap yarn before I invest in this.

Can you post how to make the star? I don't see the information on how to make it.

Is it just me or....? The chart shows 36 stitches in each row and yet the foundation chain is 38. How does that work? And if the 'ch 1, turn' counts as a stitch, how do you change colors? Very confusing.....

I have seen other patterns with similar challenges and they said to use several small balls of the color rather than carrying the yarn or constantly adding on/finishing off. I would guess two blue and two white depending on what section of the star you're working. By the time I found that I gave up and crocheted stars to stitch on top because I couldn't get an answer either ("follow the chart" was NOT helpful for me).

I need some insight/help with how to get the star done...is it cross-stitched on the blue? I emailed Caron, no reply yet. Thank you
