I am also having trouble with row 8.......I chain three and then skip to the 4th stitch to do the dtr. Do I encase the dtr stitch within the dc's or does it just hang out the back to be incorporated into the afghan at a later time?

I need help please!! I understand the directions for row 8-11 what I don't understand is how to do it. After I do the DTR, how do I work 1 dc in each of the 3 missed hdc? It looks like a mess

I would like to make a bigger version of this pattern, how would I go about doing that?

In ROW 8 what does Working in front of last dtr, 1 dc in each of 3 missed hdc. MEAN?!! I tried what I thought it meant and it looks like a jumbled up mess!!

You skip 3 of the hdc...do the dtr...then go back to the hdcs that you skipped and put 1dc in each.

my english is very little. if there was a video, I can be understant very nice.

Having a hard time figuring out how to complete row 9. No idea how this is suppose to work???

That should be rows 8-11. What I am doing is just not looking right. It looks messy and kinda ugly- HELP

Did you ever figure out what it meant?

Skip 3, do the dtr, then go back to the ones you skipped and put a dc in each of those skipped stitches

Sandy from Carson, I printed out pattern for Herringbone Afghan and no matter what I do there's an ad for Dentastix for dogs across the second page of directions & can't read it.

blueram - Take a screen shot of the directions and save to your desktop. Then you can print it out, sans ads, by inserting it into a document. On a mac screen shot is command, shift, 4. For PC you'll have to look it up.

Another possibility is to go to print, then save it as a pdf and print it that way.

These questions are my questions. Where do I see the answers or comments that were made in response to them.

I am on row 9 dtr in next dtr. Do you go in space or the top two strands of 8th row dtr

I've made this afghan in cream rose yarns for my grandmother. She absolutely loves it! My first afghan ever - works up very nice! I plan to make more.

dtr (double treble crochet - Yarn over hook three times, insert hook in stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, (yo and draw through two loops on hook) 4 times.

Need to know how to do dtr stich. I'm just starting row 8. Thank you
